Sabbatical was purchased by her present owners in 2018. From what we have been able to tell we're the second owners. The current owners cruised her exclusively around Great Bay in Southern New Jersey and the Atlantic up and down the New Jersey coastline. She has lived up to her reputation as a superb cruiser. She is set up as a cutter, but her owner mostly sailed her as a sloop. In 2019, a new 30 hp Beta Marine (K40849) diesel with upgraded PRM 90 transmission ratio 2.5:1 was installed, a CPT Autopilot package installed in 2023, and a new stay sail from Linthicum Sailmakers in 2021. The current owners would like to find her a home with someone who appreciates the Southern Cross craftsmanship. This boat was the pride and joy of the previous captain and he would want this to go to someone who fully appreciates it as much as he did.
